Advice to schools from the Department for Education and the Public Health England

Following latest news reports, please be reassured that the school is following the advice of Public Health England (PHE) and the Local Authority to safeguard the health of our whole community, including pupils and staff.

Novel coronavirus (2019-nCov) is a new strain of coronavirus first identified in Wuhan City, China. The Department of Health and Social Care and Public Health England are carefully monitoring the coronavirus situation across the world and have published information and advice for the public.

As a school we are following the Public Health England advice which can be found here. You should not be unduly worried about the possibility of your child catching the Coronavirus. There is no reason why your children should not continue to attend school as normal.

Fri 14th February– Children break up for Half term.

Mon 24th February– Children back to school at 8:50am.

Wed 26th February – Ash Wednesday Mass IN SCHOOL. Years 2, 3, 4 5 and 6 at 9:15.

Wed 26th February – Lenten Service in School for Reception and Year 1 at 10:20.

Mon 2nd March – Fri 6th March - World Book Week Theme: Globalisation – Care for our common home.

Week Commencing 2nd March: Learning Together Week – Times will be between 8:30 and 17:45 (individual times will be confirmed in due course.)

* Monday 2nd - Year 2 and Year 6

* Tuesday 3rd - Year 1 and Year 4

* Wednesday 4th - Year 3 and Year 5

* Thursday 5th - Nursery and Reception
